Activated Charcoal to detox skin and hair

When charcoal combines with high temp and an activated agent, it becomes more porous and expands its surface area. This activated charcoal has more benefits for skin and hair than charcoal alone. Activated charcoal has the ability to bind to toxins and chemicals in the pores and thus helps to remove these impurities unclogging pores. Activated charcoal therefore helps acne prone skin and oily skin with open pores.

Activated charcoal is being incorporated not only in food in smoothies and drinks to detoxify the system but also in skin care products such as cleansers, masks, facial oils and shampoos where they sit on the skin or scalp and help to deep cleanse and detoxify removing impurities.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera juice or gel substance from the leaf of the plant has many skin and gut benefits to help cleanse and detoxify. It has antioxidants and anti inflammatory properties which is why it is used for repair and regeneration. It is great for burns, cuts, bruises but is also good as a deep cleansing agent in acne and oily skin. Aloe is also great for providing intense hydration to the skin.

To make your skin smooth and supple, mix aloe vera juice or gel with some honey and apply on the face as a mask after using a mild scrub. Wash off after 10 -15mins.

These ingredients are rich in nutrients such as magnesium, calcium, potassium and the skin cells absorb these when in contact with the skin. These are usually incorporated in the form of sheet masks, packs, or bath products
